Molly Martin, RN DAISY Award Winner

Rutherford Regional Health System is proud to announce that Molly Martin, RN, has been honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s mission to meaningfully celebrate extraordinary, compassionate nurses, capturing those moments unique to nursing that make a profound difference in the lives of people around the world.

Molly Martin has been a nurse for nearly two years after graduating from Isothermal Community College, but her passion for caring for others began long before nursing school. As a child, she fondly remembers helping her mother, who served as a camp nurse, and discovering the joy of supporting those in need. Today, Molly believes nursing is more than a profession. It is a calling. Receiving the DAISY Award has been a deeply meaningful affirmation of that calling and serves as a reminder that she is exactly where she is meant to be.

One of Molly's favorite aspects of nursing is building meaningful connections with her patients. Working on a combined Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit allows her the unique opportunity to care for mothers throughout their journey, from assisting with delivery to supporting them during the postpartum period. She especially cherishes witnessing the arrival of newborn babies. Outside of work, Molly enjoys spending time with her two Bernedoodles, playing with her nephews, relaxing at the beach while searching for seashells, and reading.

"Molly's commitment to her patients, her genuine compassion, and the way she supports families during some of life's most meaningful moments make her incredibly deserving of this recognition," said Jamie Hill, Chief Nursing Officer. "We are extremely proud of Molly and grateful for the difference she makes every day. She represents the very best of nursing and the values we strive to uphold at Rutherford Regional."
