What These Awards Mean for Our Patients
Healthgrades evaluates over 4,500 hospitals nationwide each year, analyzing patient outcomes for more than 30 common conditions and procedures. The 100 Best Hospitals designation represents facilities with consistently superior results—meaning lower complication rates and better overall outcomes for patients.
According to Healthgrades’ 2026 analysis, if all hospitals performed at the level of five-star facilities, an estimated 230,000 lives could be saved and over 150,000 complications avoided across the country.
“Healthgrades’ specialty awards identify the nation’s top-performing hospitals in key service areas, helping consumers find high-quality care tailored to their specific needs,” said Alana Biggers, MD, MPH, medical advisor at Healthgrades. “We’re proud to recognize Rutherford Regional Health System for its consistently superior outcomes in key service areas, including total knee replacement, total hip replacement, treatment of stroke, and treatment of GI bleeds.”
