Colon (Barium Enema, or Air Contrast BE)1 hourClear liquids on the day before the exam; NPO after midnight.Start taking E-Z prep on the day before the procedure; or, Colyte  until stools clears & Bisacodyl (Dulcolax) pills.
Colon Exam on Colostomy1 hourClear liquids after Magnesium Citrate is taken in the afternoon. Then, NPO after midnight.Drink 1 bottle Magnesium Citrate 1400-1600 on the day before the procedure.
Colon (BE) and IVP1 -2 hoursClear liquids on the day before the exam; NPO after midnight.Follow colon prep: E-Z prep on the day before the procedure; or, Colyte until stools clear and Bisacodyl Pills.
Cardiac Fluoroscopy30 minutesNo special diet required.No special preparation required.
