RUTHERFORDTON – Rutherford Regional Health System in December named Pam Harrison as its new Chief Nursing Officer.
Harrison has worked in healthcare since 1985. Her experience is broad and varied, having worked in renal care, critical care, and healthcare management. She comes to RRHS after having served as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in Bennettsville, SC, Statesboro, GA, and Hamlet, NC.
Cindy Buck, President and CEO of Rutherford Regional, welcomed Harrison, saying, “In addition to her CNO experience, Pam has held various director roles in Kentucky, New Jersey, and North Carolina. She has excellent knowledge in all areas of nursing, as well as patient experience, Joint Commission regulations, and LEAN processes. She also was the Chief Nurse Executive of the year for Health Management Associates in 2011.
Harrison holds her Bachelor of Science Nursing, Master of Public Administration, Master of Nursing Administration, and Master Science Nursing. She is currently working on her Doctorate and expects to graduate in May 2015 from UNC-Charlotte.
