RUTHERFORDTON – Rutherford Regional Health System (RRHS) recently welcomed two new key leaders to its organization. John Bostwick has assumed the duties of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Jason Carney takes over as director of the RRHS Emergency Department.
Bostwick has worked in healthcare for over 10 years and his experience in hospital finance includes general ledger, tax, payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, revenue cycle, productivity, leases, case management, materials management and internal audit. He most recently rose to the position of CFO with Community Health Systems in Tennessee after completing an executive leadership training program.
Bostwick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee-Martin, completed his accounting requirements from Middle Tennessee State University, and also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Alabama.
Carney brings nearly 20 years of experience in emergency care and leadership, most recently with Tenet Healthcare in Phoenix, AZ, where he was director over two emergency rooms and a regional Level 1 trauma center. Carney also has served facilities in Charleston, SC, and Charleston, WV.
Carney holds and associate’s degree from Excelsior College in Albany, NY, and a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Chamberlain University in Chicago, IL. He is scheduled to complete his MBA degree from Aspen University in Aspen, CO, in 2016.
